“It flies beautifully” is not something that could be said about this little thing.. Looks like it’s clawing desperately at the air, struggling to stay airborne, thanks to those stubby little wings.

Anyone interested in radio controlled model gliders and electric powered aircraft should read Quiet & Electric Flight International magazine. You’ll find features, reviews, show reports and expert advice for everyone from beginners to experienced RC pilots. There are also adverts from all the top manufacturers and suppliers. Check out the website for more details.

Limited production is about to start. You too can own a butterfly. Horribly expensive. Interested?

I’m trying REAL hard – Plantraco have showed a vague interest, but don’t hold your breath! I’ve now got a much better design, with 2 contra rotating, torque cancelling motor/props which is a much better flier and I’m going to put both aircraft into limited production myself . Order soon to avoid disappointment!!

Yes – the original un-edited video shows figure 8′s and right turns, but I kept them to a minimum as the high right turn speed meant that the cameraman was struggling to keep it in frame. But apart from all that, it’s a right little sod in right turns! I’ve now made a much better design with 2 contra rotating torque cancelling motors which I’m trying to put into production.

Go for it! I’ll let you into a big secret : it could definitely be smaller. Let me know if you would like any advice.

Hi Ethan,
I’ve just started limited production of the aircraft. Might you still be interested in getting hold of one?
Regards, John.
